Examines crucial debates in classical and contemporary political thought, especially question of individual freedom, from end of English Civil War to present day. Equips students with theoretical expertise to make persuasive arguments of their own. Not open to students who have taken Philosophy 207, Political Science 223, or Political Science 224.
