How has being a Philosophy graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"I was blessed with the opportunity to work, in four different courses, with the late Prof. Edward Mahoney, who inspired in me curiosity about the past and excitement about ideas. I was also able to write an honors thesis, on a jurisprudential topic which continues to interest me 30 years later, under the supervision of the late Martin Golding, who remained a mentor of mine when I entered law teaching."
