How has being a Philosophy graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?
"Duke Philosophy taught me how to think critically and approach problems with a logical mind. I honed my writing skills. I also figured out how to get to the root of any issue. These skills are a tremendous asset to a physician and partner business owner. Philosophy also helped round out my mind and brain - otherwise my life would be overwhelmed by science! I loved my time studying Philosophy at Duke."
What advice would you give students in Duke's Philosophy programs?
"You can have any career you chose with a philosophy major. It will make you a stronger candidate and help you stand out in the application process (whether to medical school, law school, or in the immediate job market)."
