How has being a Philosophy graduate from Duke helped shape you personally and/or professionally?

"My philosophy degree taught me how to think, analyze and communicate my ideas in an articulate and convincing manner. The study of philosophy has given me the tools to effectively analyze from the simplest to the most challenging problems I have encountered in life. But most importantly, it has helped me lead a life of introspection and self-reflection. One that has allowed me to learn more about myself and how to better relate with others and the world at large."

What advice would you give students in Duke's Philosophy programs?

"Philosophy allows us to better understand our humanity and our role in this world. Whatever your career takes, you, what you learn as a philosopher will allow you to better comprehend other subject matters and interconnect those learnings to generate synergies that would have probably gone unnoticed."
