Ben Sarbey

Overview

I am a 2nd year PhD student specializing in bioethics and moral psychology. I graduated from Duke Law School in 2017, focusing on health law. I am interested in the philosophy of death and dying, in particular issues related to how we experience the processes of aging and dying.  I am also interested in philosophical issues related to anti-aging research, the ethics of physician assisted suicide, as well as treatment of older patients, especially those with dementia. Ultimately, I would like to develop an account of what "aging well" and "dying well" look like. When I am not thinking about death and dying I enjoy hiking and reading short stories.
