Classical and Contemporary Political Theory
Examines crucial debates in classical and contemporary political thought, especially question of individual freedom, from end of English Civil War to present day. Equips students with theoretical expertise to make persuasive arguments of their own. Not open to students who have taken PHIL 207, POLSCI 223, or POLSCI 224. If you take this course you cannot get credit for PHIL 207, POLSCI 223, or POLSCI 224. Open only to students in the Duke in Oxford program. Consent of instructor required. Two courses.
